📖 Scripture

Jeremiah 17:7 (NLT) 7 “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

Psalms 112:7 (NLT) 7 They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Intentional Inspiration

Last week I was driving to work and praying about a few things. As I was praying I found myself needing a “trust check”. (A trust check is when you have to remember all the previous times that you trusted God and what you know to be TRUE!) Immediately different scriptures and song started flooding my mind as I thought about the importance in trusting God with everything. As I continued with my day, I begin thinking about the many times I trusted God and how He has never failed me. Tears began to flow, because I realized that life tried to make me forget that I have history with God. I know His methods of operation (MO) so my job is to continue to trust Him. As this week started, I had to remind myself to continue to trust Him. Jeremiah 17:7 reminds us to that our trust in God gives us hope and confidence.

If I am honest, I have had many blows in this season, but in the background, I am reminded to trust God no matter how hard the blow is. Our job is to have faith and trust in God because our life depends on it. Like me, you may be experiencing a series of challenges, disappointments, and uncertainty, but don’t allow these circumstances to conceal what you know about God. Even with the horrible blows and falls, Psalms 112:7 alerts us that bad news won’t make us fearful because we confidently trust God. Today, do a trust check by remembering all of the instances when you trusted God. Who has He been to you? Jehovah Jireh? Jehovah Nissi? Jehovah El Shaddai? Jehovah Shalom? Who is God to you in this season? Trust God to be exactly what and who you need.

Trusting God requires faith when you feel that you are unable to visualize what’s ahead. Reflect on your history with Him. Allow what you know about God to destroy every lie the devil is throwing at you. Trust…worship…praise…and let your faith in God’s word carry you! Lean on God! He’ll never fail you!

🙏🏾Prayer

Dear God,

Thank you for being a Man of your word. Your word reminds me that I can trust You because of who You are. Lord you are everything to me. Help me to remember that when my faith and trust in You is under attack. Strengthen your people as we stand on your word. We believe that you are working everything out for our good. Lord we love you and we trust you!

Amen
