His Love Never Fails

📖Scripture: 

1 Corinthians 13:8

 8 "Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.”

Romans 5:8

8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Last night as I prayed, I was led to cover the hearts of those mourning the loss of a spouse, child, loved one, or friend. Then, I realized that Love Day was upon us. While many will celebrate with the ones they love, many are healing from a broken heart or nursing a broken heart.

As we celebrate love, I was reminded that God is Love. When we show genuine love and kindness, we are sharing God. As I read 1 Corinthians 13:8 it stated that “Love never fails…”. Today, I replaced the word love and said “God never fails”. It is a comfort to know that God never fails no matter what is going on or how we’re feeling. In His word we find comfort and strength. Romans 5:8 sends me into a full worship when I think of how God shows His love for us. He did not wait until we were perfect to display His love. He loved us even though we are still sinners and in our mess. Oh, to love like the Lord!

Today, I hope knowing God’s love will encourage you to heal well and extend love (God) to a world that needs to feel and experience genuine love! Hope you’re having a love-filled day!

Dear God,

Thank you for being the love that I need daily. Thank you for loving me beyond my mess, fears, and frustrations. Guide me to love others in the same capacity that you love me. As I am blessed with love, I pray that others may experience love in a way that heals them and strengthen them!
